Privacy Policy
One Hand Control is an Android utility app for configurable edge gestures, one-handed navigation, quick system controls, app launching, and macro playback.
Data Collection
One Hand Control does not automatically collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data.
The app does not use analytics, ads, user accounts, remote servers, or third-party tracking SDKs.
Local App Data
One Hand Control stores app preferences locally on your device, including edge zone configuration, gesture mappings, display settings, and saved macros.
Saved macros may contain touch coordinates and selected target apps needed for macro playback. This information remains on your device and is not sent to the developer or to any server.
You can delete locally stored data by clearing the app's storage in Android system settings or uninstalling the app.
Accessibility Service Usage
One Hand Control uses Android's Accessibility Service API only to provide user-configured edge gestures and quick actions.
Accessibility access is used for features such as:
- Showing edge gesture zones over the screen
- Running actions you configure, such as Back, Home, Recents, notifications, quick settings, screenshot, lock screen, scrolling, app launch, and macro playback
- Dispatching user-configured macro gestures
- When you explicitly trigger Toggle Wi-Fi, Toggle Mobile Data, Toggle Bluetooth, or Toggle Location, briefly inspecting the relevant Android Settings window to identify and press its matching system switch, then returning to the previous app
This Settings automation is limited to the system Settings package and runs only after your action. Visible Settings text is used transiently for on-device matching and is never stored in diagnostics or shared. If the matching switch cannot be identified uniquely, One Hand Control does not guess and leaves the Settings page open for you.
One Hand Control does not use Accessibility access to collect or share personal information.
System Settings Permission
Some optional actions, such as brightness, rotation, and blackout-style controls, may ask for Android's system settings permission. This permission is used only for the action you choose.
Notification Access
The optional media-controller popup can ask for Android notification access so the app can read active media-session information, such as the current song title, artist, album artwork, and player app.
This access is used only on your device to display now-playing information and artwork in the popup. One Hand Control does not collect, transmit, sell, or share notification or media-session data. Media transport buttons still work without notification access, but song metadata and artwork may not be shown.
Optional Bug Reports
If you choose Report a Bug, One Hand Control creates a local diagnostic report and opens your email or sharing app. The app itself does not use Internet access or send the report automatically.
The report may include your written description, app version, Android version, device model, screen size, permission states, gesture and edge settings, recent local app events, the last recorded action failure, and the last app crash stack trace if one exists. You can decide whether to send the report from the email or sharing app.
Optional Google Play Billing Purchases
One Hand Control may offer optional purchases through Google Play Billing, including auto-renewing monthly and yearly Pro subscriptions, a one-time lifetime Pro unlock, and optional one-time support purchases.
Google Play processes payment information, subscription renewals, and cancellations. One Hand Control does not receive or store your payment card details. The app receives only the purchase status and identifiers needed to unlock Pro features, restore active purchases, acknowledge purchases, and complete optional support purchases.
Pro entitlement status is cached locally on your device and rechecked through Google Play. The entitlement cache is excluded from Android backup and can be restored only while Google Play reports an active subscription or owned lifetime purchase for the Google account that completed the purchase. One Hand Control does not operate a billing backend or receive your Google Play account email.
